To steal copyrighted blog articles and photos and making a quick buck out of it is cheeky at best, but unlawful to begin with. Then to pretend that you have all the right to steal when get caught red-handed is plain dumb. To abuse, threaten, and stalk those who complained is telling the world that you are f***ing retarded.

The pathetic minds at work at kerals.com have demonstrated all these unenviable qualities, least desired in any professional setup, in less than a week’s time.

I protest against kerals.com’s illegal and criminal activities against Malayalam bloggers and demand that they unconditionally apologize to the bloggers affected by their disgusting misconduct and provide proper compensation where applicable to avoid copyright violations.

നാലാംകിട സിനിമകളില്‍ക്കാണുന്ന രീതിയിലുള്ള ഭീഷണിയും കുനഷ്ടു തന്ത്രങ്ങളുമായി കേരള്‍സ്.കോം എന്ന പുതിയ അവതാരം മലയാളം ബ്ലോഗുകളുടെ ചോരകുടിക്കാനിറങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു. സംസ്കാരവും മര്യാദയും ലവലേശമില്ലെന്നു ആരോടെങ്കിലും പറയാന്‍ മുട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്ന പോലെയുള്ള ഇടപെടലുകള്‍. നിയമവാഴ്ചയ്ക്കു പുല്ലുവില കല്പിക്കുന്ന ജല്പനങ്ങള്‍. കട്ടെടുത്തതു മാറ്റണമെന്നു പറയുമ്പോള്‍ തെറിയഭിഷേകവും ദേഹോപദ്രവഭീഷണിയും. കീരിക്കാടന്‍ ജോസും കൂട്ടരും ചേര്‍ന്നു് ഒരു വെബ് സൈറ്റു നടത്തിയാലെങ്ങനെയിരിക്കും? അതിലും പരിതാപകരം.

കേരള്‍സ്.കോമിന്‍റെ നിയമവിരുദ്ധവും കുറ്റകരവുമായ ചെയ്തികളെ ഞാന്‍ ശക്തമായി അപലപിക്കുന്നു. പീഡനത്തിനു വിധേയരായ ബ്ലോഗര്‍മാരോടു് നിരുപാധികം മാപ്പുപറയാനും തങ്ങള്‍ ഉപയോഗിച്ച ബ്ലോഗു പോസ്റ്റുകള്‍ക്കും ഫോട്ടോകള്‍ക്കും ഉടമസ്ഥര്‍ ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്ന പക്ഷം ന്യായമായ പ്രതിഫലം നല്‍കാനും കേരള്‍സ്.കോം തയ്യാറാവണം.

കക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ഒരു തരിനാണവും നടിക്കാ-
തൊക്കും പോല്‍ കഥ, വര, പാചകം; ചമയ്ക്കൂ!
കയ്യോടേയിതുപിടികൂടിലോ ക്ഷമിക്കും,

Despite many a call for a public apology (1, 2, and more) for lifting blog posts from a number of Malayalam blogs (1, 2, 3), Yahoo maintains that the subcontractor who provided content is at fault. The subcontractor, on the other hand, has already demonstrated its unprofessionalism in handling the issue (1, 2, 3).

The issue, at the moment, remains unresolved.

I protest against Yahoo’s unethical business practices in what is arguably one of the largest of its markets and demand an apology for violating bloggers’ copyrights.

നമ്മുടെ പിന്നാമ്പുറത്തു നിന്ന് കറിവേപ്പില മോഷണം പോയിട്ട് മാസം ഒന്നാവാന്‍ പോകുന്നു. യാഹുവിന്‍റെ ബ്ലോഗു മോഷണത്തെപ്പറ്റി യാഹുവിനോട് പരാതിപ്പെട്ടു. ഞാനല്ല, എന്‍റെ കാര്യസ്ഥനാണ് മോഷ്ടാവ്, അവന്‍റെ കുത്തിനു പിടിക്കൂ എന്നു യാഹു. കാര്യസ്ഥന്‍ കുത്തിനു പിടിക്കാന്‍ നിന്നിട്ടു വേണ്ടേ? കയ്യബദ്ധമാണെന്ന് കാര്യസ്ഥന്‍റെ വീട്ടുകാര്‍.

അവസാനം ഇത് വലിയ കാര്യമാക്കാതെ തരമില്ലെന്നായി. ബൂലോഗ ക്ലബ്ബു പോലൊന്നുമല്ല പ്രസ്ക്ലബ്ബ്. അവിടെ എല്ലാരും ഒന്നാണ്. എന്തൊരു സഹോദര സ്നേഹം! കണ്ടു പഠിക്കണം.

“തെളിവ്?”
“ദാ, ഈ സൈറ്റുകള്‍ നോക്കൂ!”
“ഏ. പി. റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടു ചെയ്തോ?”
“ഇല്ല. പക്ഷേ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കാകാമല്ലോ.”
“ആകാം, മുട്ടടി കാരണം പറ്റുന്നില്ല. അടുത്ത തവണ ഉറപ്പ്.”
“അടുത്ത തവണയോ? ബ്ലോഗില്‍ നിന്നും അടിച്ചു മാറ്റുന്നതിന് അറുതി വരില്ലെന്നാണോ?”

യാഹുവിനെ അറിയിച്ചിട്ടും കാര്യമില്ലെന്ന് മനസ്സിലാക്കി പ്രതിഷേധിക്കാന്‍ മറ്റു വഴികള്‍ നോക്കി വരികയായിരുന്നു. മറ്റൊന്നിനുമല്ല, ഈ വഴിക്ക് പണമോ പ്രശസ്തിയോ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചല്ല. തെറ്റ് തെറ്റായിക്കാണാനുള്ള ആഗ്രഹം.

നാഴികയ്ക്ക് നാല്പതുവട്ടം നാടു നന്നാവില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാല്‍ പോര, അതിനു കാരണമാവുന്നതിനെതിരെ പ്രതികരിക്കണം, പ്രതിഷേധിക്കണം.

മാര്‍ച്ച് അഞ്ചിന് ഒരു കൂട്ട പ്രതിഷേധം. ഇനിയിതാവര്‍ത്തിക്കില്ല എന്ന ഉറപ്പോടെ, മാതൃകാപരമായി, മാന്യമായി പറഞ്ഞുതീരുന്നില്ലെങ്കില്‍, മാര്‍ച്ച് അഞ്ചിനുള്ള പ്രതിഷേധത്തില്‍ എല്ലാ മലയാളം ബ്ലോഗര്‍മാരും പങ്കുചേരാന്‍ അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു. അതുവഴി, അടഞ്ഞുതന്നെ കിടക്കുന്ന കണ്ണുകളില്‍ അല്പം വെളിച്ചം വീഴുന്നെങ്കില്‍ വീഴട്ടെ. പരസ്യമായ കുറ്റസമ്മതം, ഖേദപ്രകടനം. പിന്നെ മുതലിന്നുടമ ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്നെങ്കില്‍ മാന്യമായ നഷ്ടപരിഹാരം.

കമ്യൂണിറ്റിയുടെ വിഷമം മാറ്റാന്‍ മാര്‍ച്ച് രണ്ടിന് കോടതി കൂടുന്നത്രേ. മുതലുടമയുമായി ഫോണിലും മെയിലിലും സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണെന്നും അതിനിടയില്‍ അല്പം സമയം കിട്ടിയപ്പോള്‍ സമൂഹത്തിനെ തലോടാനെത്തിയതാണെന്നുമാണ് തസ്കരവീരന്‍റെ അറിയിപ്പ്. എന്‍റെ ഈ-മെയിലില്‍ കിട്ടിയതായതിനാല്‍ എന്നേയും ക്ഷണിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് എന്നു കരുതുന്നു.
